“Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.” PSALMS 21 : 13
DAILY TOTS …
“Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.” (1 Chronicles 16 : 8 – 9)
NOW MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS …
When we lift God high in our singing and praises, He will be exalted in His own strength. Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour exalted God in his earthly ministry – in the purpose He was sent and God lifted him up – (Ephesians 1:17- 23) Jesus humbly and obediently died on the cross, wherefore God so honored Him and highly exalted Him and gave Him a name that is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
God, His strength raised him from the death through the power of the spirit. We also can exalt God and enjoy His strength by setting our love on Him … and He will deliver us from every situation through His strength, and set us on high, … … so that we can sing of his power! (Psalm 91:14) God is exalted when we delight in Him, keep His word, speak His word; … not finding our own pleasure! Then His strength will be made manifest in our situation and we can sing of His power.
He has promised that when we do these – He will cause us to ride upon the high places of the earth, walk on our high places and will feed us with the heritage of Jacob! How about that? Mary exalted God for His strength, and she was strengthened in mind and spirit to carry on God’s vision & mission … and so she could sing and praise God for His power and strength!
She believed the word spoken to her and there was a performance of the thing the Lord told her concerning the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 1: 18-23. The strength for the conception was from God – The Holy Spirit. This Virgin received strength and conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit.
When we purpose to exalt God in all areas of our lives in humility and obedience, then only we can see His strength in action and at work for us, in us and through us. Then we can sing and praise His power like Mary did in Luke 1: 46-56. We exalt God by turning many to righteousness and He has promised that we will shine as the brightness of the firmament. When we exalt God by remaining faithful to our call and purpose, God will always remain faithful in rewarding us too!
PERSONAL CONFESSION : –
May I always know that with God all things are possible. That with whatever he pleases and whatever God does it shall be forever, so I must always know how to exalt his name on High.
